A BassMasters Look at "Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom":

Alright so as some of you may know there is a new Kingdom Under Fire game out called "Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom"

This game is a BIG step away from the traditional Massive RTS style Kindom Under Fire game experience. It infact is the exact opposite. Essentially this is a hack and slash RPG game that left me wanting more.
You play as one a character from the previous Kingdom Under Fire games: Kendal, Regnier, Celine, Leinhart, Duane, Currian, or Encablossa. Each have their own special abilities, strategies, and campaigns.

The game play is as follows:
- You start at the begining of the level.
- You are given a path to follow.
- When the next section of path loads (instantly) you are attacked by hordes of enemies that look the same (although to most hack and slash fans out there, this would seem like a good thing, but its not even like there are any epic combos to expect).
- You kill them with ease, collect your experience and various items that they might have dropped and move on to the next section of path where you will repeat the process again and again.
There may be forks in the path that ultimately lead to the same place anyways (one just has tougher enemies).
There are various types of enemies but they still look very similar and fail to grab my attention.
There are shops you can shop at and there are places that you can sleep (whenever you sleep it will go into a cutscene where you are talking to an old man and he will teach you spells and whatnot but it is very annoying and very confusing at first).

For graphics, the team did a really good job and all of the environment modifiers such as shadows and lighting and things floating in the air were excellent and I thought it was cool how when you put on differant types of armor/weapons it actaully changed in game (I know that that is quite standard in games these days but its always a nice touch).
For sound I didn't find anything wrong about it. Except that they haven't changed the main music since the begining of the Kingdom of Fire series (or so it seems).

Summary:
Graphics - 8.7
Sound - 9
Gameplay - 6.5
Story - Unavailable

Overall I wouldn't spend more than $30.00 for this game.
But it would make a great game for $30.00

Now its up to the User's Discretion
:BM:
