The Street Fighter Alpha series has been ported to so many consoles throughout its years, starting from the poor iteration of Street Fighter Alpha 2, to portable versions of Street Fighter Alpha games on various other consoles.None of them captured the experience of the arcade equivalents. Street Fighter Alpha Anthologt did what most of the others couln't do, and added much more as well.

Anthology includes five glorious titles from the pages of arcade's fighting history( Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter Alpha 2,Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold,Street Fighter Alpha 3) and Super Gem Fighter and along with the polished fighting engine, the game allows you to adjust the visual content to your liking.

Sound

Two Words, 'arcade perfection'. The Sound effects and music are straight from the arcade. You'll love it,trust me!. You'll hear nothing else so angelic and what makes it even better is the classic feeling you get when listening to the music.

Graphics

As mentioned before, it's possible to filter the visuals of the game in the 'option' menu. And again 'arcade perfection'. If you're not even familiar with Capcom's fighting franchise, it's still really great to look at. Capcom works extremely well with two dimension graphics.

Replay Value

I dont think you'll ever lay this game to rest if you're a fan of the series, but either way, there is a lot of great stuff in SFAA to keep you playing it for months

Gameplay

Sorry to say, the gameplay of SFAA is rather generic and strictly true to each title that you you'll come across. Yet, if you looked at ti from a beginner's perspective, it's a wonderful experience. SFA is the title that paved the way for all others and is personally the best of the entire population. SFA2 is a bit deeper and more complex with whole custom combo issues and the secret characters to unlock. The Gold version of SFA2 isn't that different, but it has extras, such as the classic versions of Street Fighter characters such as Ryu, Ken, Chun L etc. Now SFA3 is obviously the one with the most substance. It has all the characters from the previous versions and it delivers the most depth of gameplay. And last but not least, SGF shows much promise of being one of the best fighting games ever.

Overall

SFAA is a must get for fans of Street Fighter and like the rest of the classic arcade favorites, it's a great addition to your collection of ps2 gamws. I Highly Recommend this title.
