Having trouble picking out the best seating position while gaming with your friends? Here is a list of possible positions our team has come up with that may help you in any situation whether you are ignoring your girlfriend or trying to win the gold in a massive online tournament.

Note: Keep in mind I’m a console gamer.

Lounger –

Description
Designed for ultimate comfort with a hefty helping of coolness, this style is best for keeping it casual. If you want to keep the ladies coming back for more, we would definitely recommend this.

Ergonomics
For the perfect lounger you are required to sit forward in your seat and then lean back until your back is resting comfortably against the back of the chair. If performed correctly you should have a curve to your back and be quite comfortable. Just as a side note this works best with a bean bag chair.

Benefit
You will be comfortable for the entirety of your gaming session and looking stylish while you drop those noobs.

Disadvantage
This is definitely not good on the posture. If you don’t want to be a hunchback when you are an old bag, you should switch it up every now and again.

Best Situation
This is best when playing alone as you won’t need to be as hardcore into the game.

Dedicated –

Description
When you are in the zone without realizing it you will normally enter into this position. It consists of intense concentration and the desire to dominate all involved in your current session.

Ergonomics
You will need to lean forward in your chair and rest both elbows on your thighs.

Benefit
You will be in the zone for all those kills to come and will more than likely dominate the playing field.

Disadvantage
You may or may not get red marks on your legs from where your elbows are resting depending on how hardcore you may be. Also you won’t be able to concentrate on what is going on around you since you will be into the game so you may want to avoid a room with people who like to throw items or pranksters.

Best Situation
LAN Parties or Tournaments is the recommended usage location.

Preschooler –

Description
When all else fails go back to the good old days where the teacher had you sit on the floor with your legs crossed.

Ergonomics
Seated on the floor with your legs crossed and body slightly leaning forward you can either lean on something or just outright sit in the middle of the room.

Benefit
You will always have a place to sit and can you won’t have anyone rubbing up against you.

Disadvantage
You probably won’t have the most comfortable position in the room and it really doesn’t help your gaming situation in any way.

Best Situation
When you are out of room on the couch and have no where better to sit.

Playa –

Description
This keeps the ladies looking as they may pass giving them the perfect view of your behind while you get your fix. Who knows? You may pull a phone number of one of the honeys.
WARNING – You may want to make sure you have a decent behind before attempting.

Ergonomics
Standing comfortably or resting against a wall while picking off the noobs.

Benefit
People passing by get a good look at how hardcore you are and will definitely take a second look.

Disadvantage
You will be standing the entire time and you may tire easily. We recommend a power bar.

Best Situation
When the ladies may be present at a convention or tournaments of sorts, you may want to pull this out.

Teddy Bear -

Description
This will keep both you and your girlfriend happy while you enjoy your video games.

Ergonomics
Sitting any which way you want keeping your lap wide open with lots of head (Minds out of the gutter people) room.

Benefit
Your woman can rest her head in your lap while you game it up and can avoid all forms of nagging.

Disadvantage
We see no true disadvantage so go for it.

Best Situation
Recommended for those days when you just have to play a video game and your girlfriend is over and wishes to cuddle with you.
