Top 5 Games For The Wii

A friend of mind recently asked me what were some good games on the Wii because she was planning on purchasing the console pretty soon. I was surprised to know that i could not tell her off hand, so in response to that, I have decided to compile a list of the top 5 Games currently On the Wii(January - July)

A few more awesome games are set to be released in upcoming months, but some breathtaking ones are already out for you to purchase and play. Now the game that everyone knows and love has to definitely start this list and that is of course:

1.Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Link, a young man raised as a wrangler in a small, rural village, is ordered by the mayor to attend the Hyrule Summit. He sets off, oblivious to the dark fate that has descended upon the kingdom. When heenters the Twilight Realm that has covered Hyrule, he transforms into a wolf and is captured. A mysterious figure named Midna helps him break free, and with the aid of her magic, they set off to free the land from the shadows. Link must explore the vast land of Hyrule and uncover the mystery behind its plunge into darkness.

Why Should I Buy This Game?

This is a game that SHOULD be purchased for anybody who's a Zelda Fanatic, and is even good for someone who's new to the Zelda Franchise. It is undoubtedly the best Zelda in it's series, and with the introduction of the wii controller you'll never forget such an experience; who knows you'll probably lose weight in the process.

2.Mario Strikers Charged

Mario and friends once again take to the pitch in this second entry in the soccer series. Players form an original team by combining one of 12 captains with three of eight side kicks before competing in one of the game's many modes. Anything goes in Mario Strikers Charged, as players are allowed to use a variety of special abilities to clinch important goals.

Each captain has his or her own set of skills and super abilities, as well as the ability to perform special shots called Mega Strikes, where the iron ball splits into five balls and flies at the goal. The defending player must use theWii Remote to target and aim at and shoot these balls out of the air before conceding a goal. Each of the stadiums in Mario Strikers Charged has various characteristics and contraptions, which influence game play. Players must learn  to use this to their advantage to truly dominate the pitch.

Why Should I Buy This Game?

Use the skill the Wii Remote and Nunchuk Controller provide to win the ball, score unstoppable goals and take control of the goalkeeper to perform spectacular saves. Mario Strikers is the first Wii title that is available for play over the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. You can play online with Friends or random people...It cant get any better than that; Mario Strikers, another must have for your Wii Collection.

3.The Godfather: Blackhand Edition

The book by Mario Puzo and Francis Ford Coppola's classic film serve as dual inspirations for Electronic Arts' action/adventure The Godfather. In it, gamers can join the Corleone family to exploit loyalties and fear as they rise through the ranks to become Don in 20th century New York City. Carry out orders, earn respect, and make the Big Apple all your own.

This expanded edition for Wii offers brand new ways to go from Street Soldier to Don as you gain control of the streets of New York. Follow the path an Enforcer or Operator; each with its own unique perks and abilities to earn. Now you can chat up specific characters to get the skinny on dirty cops, take down two additional revised compounds of rival Families, execute five new contract hits, and call in larger Corleone Hit Squads when the going gets tough.

Why Should I Buy This Game?
Let's get one thing clear, this game is not for little boys and girls, not for the weak hearted, it's for those people who want to relieve some stress, one of the more violent games on the wii that will quall your anger when hitting the wall won't work.

4. Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition

Players rejoin Leon S. Kennedy, six years after his first mission as a rookie cop in Resident Evil 2. Now as a U.S. agent, Leon is on a top-secret mission to investigate the disappearance of the President's daughter and has made his way to a mysterious location in Europe. As he encounters unimaginable horrors, he must find out what is behind the terror.

Why Should I Buy This Game?

Some Science fiction wont hurt now will it?.Admit it, killing zombies is fun it might not be Godfather but it sure rocks my pants. Make this part of your Wii collection

5. Wario Ware: Smooth Moves

The WarioWare team took an idea so wacky, it could only be made with the latest technology... the Wii Remote. With about 200 lightning-quick microgames and controls that range from scribbling to flailing, WarioWare: Smooth Moves takes interactive gaming to a whole new level. All players need is a Wii Remote and their best moves to be the champ. With games that are as much fun to play as they are to WATCH people play, WarioWare: Smooth Moves brings the party to its feet. It's hilarious for players and audiences alike.

Why Should I Buy This Game?

Alot of mini games to choose from and it makes good use of the Wii remote. If you want to experience the full potential of the Wii Remote and have innocent fun then this is the game for you.

There you have it, get all of these games and trust me you'll be preoccupied for a while.
