Falling under the lines of the Four Sword Zeldas, this game pits Link against the wind sorcerer Vaati. Lured by the power of the sacred Light Force, Vaati wins the annual swordfighting tournament and gains the right to touch the Picori Blade, a sacred sword that was used to propel evil a long time ago. However, finding that there was no Light Force to be found, he broke the Picori Blade and turned Princess Zelda to stone. Now Link must save Hyrule, and Zelda, from the wind mage's wrath.
In this adventure, Link comes across a cap-like creature named Ezlo. Together, they can use "minish portals" to shrink in order to enter small places and solve dungeon puzzles.
